I was very much surprised with the srilanka team selection in FINAL GAME AGAINST INDIA. Inform bowlar AjantaMendis made way for Randiv, selecters say randiv had better success against india, mendis also have 6-22 against so opponent in asia cup final! I was amazed & i do feel it was a fixed Final on srilanka’s behalf. Come on, Hasan tilkaratne, mention the names, dude.

people say that hes handy with bowling.. its only against minors..his record against best of the world are:

        Aus: 33.96 aver 4.60 eco

        Ind: 57.97 av 5.07 eco
        NZ: 59.88 av4.76 eco
        SA: 37.95 av 4.47 eco
        Sri: 42.34 av 4.87 eco

yes hes best against Bangla and Zim.. :D and accidently against England:D

and note one thing that what is the benefit of that kind of strike rate whenever teams wants it .. he fail to deliver the game which represent that strike rate

can u tell me how this kind of player played in the team for 12 years… pak has lot of good allrounders.. but dont know y paki management isn
t give chance to them.. plz leave us afridi…
Stilll people says in answers that hes a good player or allrounder :O.. yar be realistic.. if he plays 8-10 inning in 12 years or in 266 odis.. it isn’t a gr8.. if i got this much chances.. my bowling and batting average will be better them him.

Well, i am a true cricket fan and all other true cricket fans would agree that seeing a batsman dispatch a bowler for six does make a good sight but what adds cherry on the top is when the batsmen does of a good swinging delivery.
Thats what is lacking today. I saw the asia cup. While almost all matches were high scoring, I didn,t like even one game. There was no competition. All the bowlers except Mendis struggled. I personally feel there should be more support for the bowlers. I want the big reverse swinging yorkers to return. That’s where the real fun is. Isn’t it.Mind you i am also more of a batsman when i play cricket but i still feel so.

Why are BCCI so Money Hungry?

Australia and england cricket boards really look after there players, and makesure they give sufficient amount of rest to cricket players between season or tours. However that is tottaly the opposite for indian cricket, Despite india being by far the richest cricketing and infact sporting board in the world.

For example, this is the amount of cricket india has played this year.

4 test matches vs Australia, 1st Janaury- Feburary. 5 weeks
10 ODIs vs Sri Lanka and Aussies, Feburaury – March. 4 weeks
3 Test matches vs South Africa, March – April. 3 weeks
Shi* slog bore of IPL, April – June. 7 bloody weeks
            Kitply Cup, June. 2 weeks
Asia Cup, June – July. 4 weeks
3 Test matches vs Sri Lanka, July – August. 4 weeks
5 ODIs vs Sri Lanka, August 2 weeks
ICC Champions trophy, Semptember 3 weeks
4 Test matches vs Australia, October – Novemember 4 weeks
7 ODIs vs England, Novemember – Decemember 3 weeks
2 Test matches vs England, Decemember 2 weeks

India are playing a series for a whopping 42 weeks, with only about 8 – 10 weeks rest between series. Not to mention practise games, Touring other countries, advertisements, Traveling constantly ect…

No wonder why india are bad starters in a series even at home, because they hardly get any rest between series and preparation before hand. At least the indian players knew, they could have about 6-8 weeks holiday or rest from cricket in succession, but that is totally shattered by the Slog bore of IPL.

Is the BCCI Ruining indian cricket, with there selfish money plotting motives?
I Know india has a lot of superstars in cricket, mostly in there test side, but you cant kill them with overdrive of cricket.

I mean, was the Kitply cup really neccessary, or even this Sri Lanka Series, even though it has been thrilling to watch so far.

BCCI is killing indian cricket. Its going to be fascinating to see the state of indian cricket once the greates leave. India in my opinion are fuc*ed in test without them. Icant see anyone replacing Sachin or Dravid.
I tottaly agree with you melanie and others, that this schedule is just way too taxing, moreover the tours are unsettled, in terms of how it is arranged. India never have a settled plan of when playing at home or away, like england, Australia, New Zealand, West Indies, ect…

What a series for SL cricketers VS India 2009?

A 4-1 is done by toss of oppostion.

                    However, today its abt -

Alright so the toss of Dhoni defeated SL downwards badly. But somehow there’s no reason to feel sad! Look at the good things this series has brought us: Mahela finds form and crosses the (8000-run mark,) the birth of Sangakkara 2(Kandamby), Murali’s world record(atleast it was against India), and hey, our Civil War’s gonna finish – (due to India causes) soon!!! Now peace for SL and the ppl can start building impressive cities!!!

So at present, both Australia and SL are completely lost without their legends. SL Cricket will be great in the future & some lita ODI series due to toss for 2,3,4 at Premadassa Stadium is nothing! SL did not lose a Asia Cup nor an World Cup so Lakan fans, SL Cricket shall win the next series witout any hestations……..ameen.

Also, the toss is the reason we’re losing these recent matches.

SL has only won the Dambulla toss but it was a bad call by Mahela to bat first realising that last time they played against India there, we won batting second. So if we win the toss in this last match and win, I will definitely not say our cricket is going down…..

As captaincy is concerned, Mahela should be retained! He’s our best captain out there, and right now he’s experimenting which is ok now than later!
CAptn Jayawardene won Asia Cup & an cotroversial WC for SL VS 149 however, SL Cricket can be ranked 789 or 123 but, as a fan & a Lakan supporter. Sri Lanka Cricket is like no other.
                    Amen

So no matter what lita twice series India won…..i gotta ask:
                    IS it world cups?
                    Is it Asia cups?
                    Is it test match?
                    No..

Furioso Lion88 to all Lakan supporters -
I agree Montitude & welcome back however, SL did not have its full attack also.

Other than that, this is a SL version of reasons & to counter attack some qs abt Sri Lanka. However, for answer.
                    at bfry head -

                    You can brag on what?
I disagree with ur smarty remarks & i will ask as many SL q as possible.

If u dont know truth then, dont say things i havent said….SL cric team forever, & dont try to be a smarty with me against my nation of SL. You think ur words suppose to mean smthinglol…..
